We have just come across the fact that some clubs that help their community ie sports clubs and village clubs and similar are not aware that they may be exempt from business rate - all they have to do is contact the local authority and ask.
Similarly, we have realised that some small businesses have not been taking advantage of the small business relief which reduces or can remove the business rate - again contact the local authority.
